Market Overview
Cryptocurrency markets entered the November 3 Asian session under renewed pressure, with Bitcoin trading near $76,740, Ethereum around $2,250 and XRP approximately $1.25. A further decline in U.S. technology equities, continuing withdrawals from Binance following its $6.3 billion security breach and uncertainty ahead of the U.S. midterm elections outweighed relief from a sharp decline in petroleum prices.
Bitcoin declined approximately 1%-2% over the latest 24-hour period and around 4% over seven days, according to CoinGecko’s early Asian-session market snapshot. Ethereum declined approximately 0.4% over 24 hours and 2.4% over the week, while XRP was broadly unchanged near $1.25 and remained 3.3% lower over seven days.
Bitcoin traded within an approximate 24-hour range of $76,611-$78,733. Ethereum fluctuated between $2,235 and $2,310, while XRP remained within approximately $1.24-$1.26. The latest Bitcoin decline erased much of the weekend recovery and brought the asset close to the lower portion of its post-incident trading range.
Global cryptocurrency market capitalization stood near $2.68 trillion, with approximately $69.3 billion of aggregated 24-hour trading volume. Bitcoin represented approximately 57.7% of total market capitalization, while Ethereum accounted for 10.3%. CoinGecko’s broader market sentiment indicator stood at 42, classified as Fear.
Bitcoin’s market capitalization was approximately $1.54 trillion, Ethereum’s around $274.9 billion and XRP’s near $79 billion. Their respective 24-hour reported trading volumes were approximately $25.2 billion, $11.1 billion and $1.39 billion. The figures reflect CoinGecko’s tracked markets and remain subject to changes in prices, exchange coverage and reporting windows.
The most important new development was an increase in customer withdrawals from Binance. According to Reuters reporting on November 2, customers withdrew a net $4.72 billion after Binance began restoring withdrawals following the theft of approximately $6.3 billion in cryptocurrency.
The updated withdrawal figure represents approximately 3% of Binance’s reported platform assets, compared with the earlier $3.64 billion estimate reported during the first phase of the reopening. The increase is material but has not, according to market analysts cited by Reuters, produced a widespread liquidity panic across the cryptocurrency sector.
Binance said customer withdrawals were stabilizing after the initial increase and reported approximately $2.7 billion in incoming customer deposits since Sunday. The exchange also stated that it had assembled $6 billion from corporate treasury resources, insurance funds and security reserves to support its commitment to cover customer losses.
The distinction between securing corporate resources and recovering stolen cryptocurrency remains important. Replacement of customer assets can reduce financial exposure for account holders, but it does not mean that the original stolen funds have been returned or that the underlying investigation is complete.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation attributed the theft to North Korea’s TraderTraitor group. Blockchain analytics firms reported that attackers moved funds through multiple networks and used automated transactions to complicate tracing and recovery.
Researchers estimated that approximately half of the stolen funds were held in stablecoins. Issuers have frozen portions of the affected assets, including more than $1.1 billion in USDC reported by Circle. Nevertheless, blockchain analytics firm Elliptic estimated that the attackers continued to control approximately $3.28 billion, principally in Bitcoin and Ethereum.
The incident remains a significant test of centralized exchange risk management. A successful reimbursement program would reduce direct customer losses but would not independently resolve concerns involving privileged access, transaction authorization, internal security controls and the concentration of digital assets under centralized custody.
The economic implications extend beyond the exchange itself. Large customer withdrawals can redistribute collateral, market-maker inventory and readily available trading balances across competing venues and private wallets. The movement can reduce liquidity at one exchange without necessarily representing an equivalent amount of outright cryptocurrency selling.
Reuters reported that OKX, Gate and Bybit recorded notable inflows following Binance’s reopening. However, the proportion attributable directly to customers moving assets away from Binance remains uncertain.
Stablecoin market capitalization also weakened after the incident, suggesting that some investors were converting cryptocurrency exposure into conventional cash rather than merely transferring assets between digital-asset platforms.
Institutional exchange-traded fund flows provide another measure of market stress. The latest fully reconciled Farside Investors Bitcoin ETF data showed U.S. spot Bitcoin funds recording $643.2 million of net withdrawals on Friday, October 30.
BlackRock’s IBIT lost $233.7 million, Fidelity’s FBTC recorded $201 million of withdrawals, ARK’s ARKB lost $129.5 million and Grayscale’s GBTC experienced $53.3 million of redemptions. Bitwise’s BITB recorded another $25.7 million in outflows.
These withdrawals more than offset the inflows recorded during the preceding four sessions. Bitcoin ETFs finished October 26-30 with approximately $202.4 million of net outflows, despite positive activity on October 26, 27, 28 and 29.
Cumulative net inflows into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs remained substantial at approximately $57.05 billion through the latest completed reporting period. The historical institutional ownership base therefore remains large, even as marginal demand weakened sharply.
As of the November 3 Asian publication cutoff, Farside’s November 2 Bitcoin ETF table had not reported individual fund figures. The provisional category entry should not be interpreted as a confirmed zero-flow session. October 30 remains the latest completed and reconciled daily result available from that source.
Ethereum investment products continued to experience substantially greater selling relative to their investment base. Final Farside Investors Ethereum ETF data recorded $155.7 million of net withdrawals on October 30, following $105.5 million on October 29.
BlackRock’s ETHA lost $76.6 million on Friday, while its ETHB staking product recorded $19.5 million of withdrawals. Grayscale’s ETHE lost $21.5 million and its Ethereum Mini Trust experienced $34.1 million in redemptions.
Across October 26-30, U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded approximately $431.4 million of net withdrawals, marking five consecutive negative completed sessions. The persistent selling demonstrates weaker institutional investment-product demand than Bitcoin, although both categories finished the week with net outflows.
November 2 Ethereum ETF reporting also remained incomplete, with major issuer figures unavailable at the Asian publication cutoff. The absence of reported entries should not be characterized as a completed neutral session.
XRP investment products were comparatively stable. The Alpha Finance five-fund XRP ETF tracker reported $8.4 million of net inflows on October 29, led by Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ. The tracker had not updated through the November 2 session, limiting the reliability of any same-day comparison with Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs.
A separate tracker, Maketo, reported a modest XRP ETF outflow of approximately $496,500 for October 30. The difference in reporting coverage and reconciliation dates reinforces the need to identify the precise source and observation period rather than combine results from different datasets into an assumed single category total.
Derivatives activity remains substantial. CoinGecko’s latest tracked perpetual-futures data showed Bitcoin open interest near $67.09 billion, Ethereum approximately $40.78 billion and XRP around $3.89 billion.
Bitcoin perpetual open interest represented approximately 4.35% of its market capitalization, compared with 14.83% for Ethereum and 4.92% for XRP. Ethereum therefore continues to carry much greater leveraged exposure relative to underlying market value.
Aggregated eight-hour perpetual funding rates stood near 0.0090% for Bitcoin, 0.0095% for Ethereum and 0.0046% for XRP. The positive readings indicate that leveraged long positions continued paying a premium, although XRP funding had moderated considerably from the levels observed during parts of October.
Positive funding combined with prices near structural support warrants attention. The relationship indicates that some bullish leveraged positioning remains outstanding and could become vulnerable if selling pressure intensifies.
Market sentiment remained defensive. The Alternative.me Crypto Fear & Greed Index stood at 37, classified as Fear, compared with 34 in the preceding reading, 50 one week earlier and 67 one month earlier.
The modest improvement from 34 to 37 indicates that the immediate panic has moderated, but sentiment remains substantially weaker than before the Binance incident and the late-October institutional selling.
Macroeconomic developments provided mixed signals. Petroleum prices fell sharply on November 2 after renewed diplomatic discussions raised hopes of progress toward ending the conflict involving the United States and Iran.
Brent crude declined approximately 7.6% to $104.77 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate fell around 7.4% to $96.46. The move represented one of the largest single-day declines in months and reduced immediate pressure on inflation expectations and government-bond yields.
The oil decline did not translate into a broad recovery in U.S. technology shares. The Nasdaq Composite fell approximately 1.1% on November 2 to 25,164.32, while the S&P 500 declined 0.5% to 7,541.40. The Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 0.4% to 51,983.98.
The divergence reflected persistent concerns about financing requirements and returns on artificial-intelligence infrastructure investment. Technology shares continued to experience pressure even as the decline in energy prices supported selected transportation, consumer and industrial businesses.
The benchmark U.S. 10-year Treasury yield declined toward approximately 4.89%, reducing some immediate pressure from borrowing costs. However, the Federal Reserve’s policy stance remains restrictive, with the federal funds target range at 3.75%-4.00% following the October 28 decision.
The Bureau of Economic Analysis reported September annual Personal Consumption Expenditures inflation of 3.6%, with core inflation at 3.1%. Third-quarter real GDP grew at a 3.4% annualized rate, reinforcing the combination of resilient economic activity and persistent inflation.
The next significant political event is the November 3 U.S. midterm election. Investors are assessing potential changes to congressional control and their implications for fiscal spending, technology policy, financial regulation and cryptocurrency legislation.
The October U.S. employment report is scheduled for November 6. Its results will provide another important indication of whether the Federal Reserve may resume tightening during its December meeting.
Bitcoin Market Analysis
BTC Narrative
Bitcoin traded near $76,740 during the November 3 Asian session, declining from the previous day’s levels near $78,000 and returning toward the lower boundary of its recent trading structure. The latest 24-hour range extended from approximately $76,611 to $78,733.
The decline is notable because petroleum prices fell sharply on November 2, reducing immediate inflation pressure. Bitcoin nevertheless remained weak, indicating that cryptocurrency-specific counterparty risk and broader technology-sector selling are currently exerting greater influence than the improvement in energy markets.
Bitcoin’s market capitalization stood near $1.54 trillion, with approximately $25.2 billion of 24-hour tracked trading volume. CoinGecko reported perpetual-futures open interest near $67.09 billion.
The most important immediate development remains Binance’s operational recovery following the $6.3 billion security breach. Reuters reported that customer net withdrawals increased to $4.72 billion, equivalent to approximately 3% of the exchange’s reported assets.
Binance said it had secured approximately $6 billion to cover the losses and reported substantial incoming deposits since withdrawals resumed. However, the exchange’s reimbursement commitments and the actual recovery of stolen cryptocurrency are separate measures of financial and operational progress.
Bitcoin remains particularly sensitive to the distribution of exchange liquidity. Transfers to self-custody or competing exchanges do not necessarily constitute net selling, but they can alter market-maker inventory, collateral availability and transaction execution across major venues.
The institutional ETF picture also weakened substantially. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $643.2 million of net withdrawals on October 30, led by BlackRock, Fidelity and ARK.
The result erased the preceding four days of combined inflows, leaving the completed October 26-30 week approximately $202.4 million negative. The latest completed institutional data therefore indicate risk reduction rather than a confirmed return to accumulation.
Farside’s November 2 Bitcoin ETF reporting remained incomplete at the Asian publication cutoff. As a result, the latest price weakness cannot reliably be attributed to a finalized Monday ETF withdrawal figure.
The broader macroeconomic environment remains mixed. The decline in Brent crude to approximately $104.77 reduced inflation expectations, but the Nasdaq Composite fell another 1.1% as concerns about AI capital expenditure and financing requirements continued.
Bitcoin’s derivatives market continues to carry substantial outstanding exposure. Perpetual open interest stood near $67.09 billion, equivalent to approximately 4.35% of market capitalization, while the aggregated eight-hour funding rate remained positive near 0.0090%.
The funding rate indicates that leveraged long positions retain a premium despite Bitcoin falling below $77,000. The combination creates additional liquidation sensitivity if the market breaks the recent intraday low.
The strongest confirmation of stabilization would involve Bitcoin maintaining approximately $76,500-$77,000 while spot turnover improves, exchange withdrawal pressures moderate and regulated investment-fund demand begins recovering.
A rebound driven primarily by derivatives position expansion would be less convincing than one supported by increasing underlying spot participation and more balanced exchange liquidity.
BTC Technical & Liquidity Structure
Bitcoin’s immediate support lies around $76,600-$76,750, corresponding with the lower portion of the latest daily trading range. Maintaining this region would preserve the possibility of a short-term stabilization.
Below $76,600, approximately $76,000-$76,300 becomes the next important support zone. A sustained break below this region would indicate that the market has failed to maintain its recovery from the initial Binance-related selloff.
The broader $75,000-$75,500 area remains a significant structural reference. A confirmed break below $75,000 would increase the probability of a deeper move toward approximately $72,500-$73,500.
Immediate resistance lies around $77,500-$78,000. Reclaiming this area would provide the first indication that short-term buying pressure is beginning to improve.
Above $78,000, approximately $78,700-$79,000 becomes the next important resistance region, corresponding closely with the upper boundary of the latest 24-hour range.
Bitcoin would need sustained trading above $79,500-$80,000 before the recovery becomes technically more credible. The broader $81,500-$82,500 region remains the principal resistance separating the current defensive structure from a stronger recovery.
Perpetual-futures open interest stood near $67.09 billion, equivalent to 4.35% of market capitalization. The aggregated eight-hour funding rate near 0.0090% indicates a continued long premium.
Positive funding while prices remain close to support suggests that leveraged bullish exposure has not been fully removed. A decline below $76,000 could therefore trigger additional collateral pressure and forced position reductions.
The strongest recovery structure would involve Bitcoin moving above $78,700-$79,000 through stronger spot turnover, stable open interest and improving ETF demand rather than an abrupt increase in speculative leverage.
BTC Forecast
The near-term base case is volatile consolidation between approximately $75,500 and $79,000. Binance’s efforts to reimburse customers and normalize withdrawals provide some operational relief, while Friday’s substantial ETF outflows and continuing technology-sector weakness limit confidence in a sustained recovery.
The upside scenario requires Bitcoin to reclaim $77,500-$78,000 and subsequently establish sustained trading above $78,700-$79,000. Improving spot liquidity and renewed institutional accumulation would reopen approximately $80,000-$82,500, followed by $84,000-$85,000 if broader financial conditions strengthen.
The downside scenario begins with a decisive break below $76,000-$76,300. Such a move would expose approximately $75,000-$75,500, followed by $72,500-$73,500 if additional exchange-related uncertainty or another broad reduction in risk exposure accelerates selling.
Ethereum Market Analysis
ETH Narrative
Ethereum traded near $2,250 during the November 3 Asian session, declining approximately 0.4% over 24 hours and 2.4% over seven days. The asset remained below the $2,300-$2,400 region that provided important support earlier in October.
Ethereum’s market capitalization stood near $274.9 billion, with approximately $11.1 billion of tracked 24-hour trading volume. Its latest daily trading range extended from approximately $2,235 to $2,310.
The principal new Ethereum-specific institutional development was BitMine Immersion Technologies’ November 2 treasury update.
According to the company’s official announcement, BitMine held 6,060,506 ETH as of November 1, compared with 6,051,933 ETH in the preceding weekly report.
The increase of 8,573 ETH represents continued corporate accumulation despite falling cryptocurrency prices and substantial Ethereum ETF withdrawals.
BitMine reported total cryptocurrency holdings, cash, marketable securities and strategic investments valued at approximately $14.5 billion. The company also disclosed $498 million in cash and marketable securities and holdings of 216 Bitcoin.
Its Ethereum treasury represents approximately 4.9% of Ethereum’s reported 122.2 million token supply, leaving the company close to its stated objective of accumulating 5%.
BitMine also reported 5,227,037 ETH committed to staking, valued at approximately $11.8 billion using the company’s reference ETH price of $2,261.
The substantial staking position provides recurring protocol rewards and reduces the proportion of holdings available for immediate trading. Nevertheless, staking involves operational, validator, liquidity and treasury-management considerations distinct from passive ownership.
The announcement provides evidence of continued corporate Ethereum demand, but the scale of the latest weekly acquisition remains relatively small compared with the withdrawals recorded across U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs.
Regulated Ethereum funds lost approximately $431.4 million during October 26-30, including $155.7 million on Friday alone. BlackRock and Grayscale products accounted for a substantial proportion of the withdrawals.
The contrast demonstrates that institutional Ethereum exposure remains fragmented. Corporate treasury companies can accumulate long-term positions while exchange-traded fund investors reduce allocations during the same period.
The Binance security incident remains an additional source of Ethereum-specific uncertainty. Blockchain investigators reported that portions of the stolen cryptocurrency were converted into ETH and moved through multiple addresses.
Security-related conversion activity should not be interpreted as conventional investment demand. Such transfers can represent temporary intermediary positions intended to facilitate further movement, fragmentation or laundering of stolen funds.
The incident also highlights the difference between blockchain network security and centralized custody risk. A compromise of exchange infrastructure does not independently establish a failure of Ethereum’s underlying consensus mechanism.
Ethereum’s derivatives market remains particularly sensitive to leverage. Perpetual-futures open interest stood near $40.78 billion, equivalent to approximately 14.83% of market capitalization.
The aggregated eight-hour funding rate stood near 0.0095%, indicating a positive premium for leveraged long positions. The combination of substantial open interest and positive funding increases sensitivity to further declines through major support.
Ethereum’s institutional infrastructure continues to develop through staking, tokenized investment products, regulated custody and public-blockchain settlement services. However, the immediate market remains dominated by investment-product withdrawals, exchange-related uncertainty and restrictive financing conditions.
Development of the Glamsterdam upgrade also remains subject to further testing following the postponement of the planned Hoodi testnet activation. The postponement does not represent an interruption of Ethereum mainnet operations.
The near-term challenge is therefore not the absence of institutional technology development but the failure of that structural adoption to translate into sufficiently strong immediate spot and regulated investment-product demand.
ETH Technical & Liquidity Structure
Ethereum’s immediate support lies around $2,235-$2,250, corresponding with the lower portion of the latest 24-hour trading range. Maintaining this region would preserve the possibility of near-term stabilization.
Below $2,235, approximately $2,200-$2,220 becomes the next important support area. The $2,200 psychological threshold has become a major reference during the recent market decline.
A sustained break below $2,200 would expose approximately $2,100-$2,150. A deeper deterioration in exchange liquidity or broader market confidence could bring the $2,000 level into focus.
Immediate resistance lies around $2,275-$2,300. A sustained recovery above $2,300 would provide the first indication that buyers are beginning to establish a higher trading structure.
Above $2,300, approximately $2,350-$2,400 becomes the next significant resistance zone. Ethereum would need sustained trading above $2,400-$2,425 before the broader $2,470-$2,500 region becomes a credible recovery target.
Ethereum perpetual-futures open interest stood near $40.78 billion, equivalent to approximately 14.83% of market capitalization. The ratio remains considerably higher than those of Bitcoin and XRP.
The aggregated eight-hour funding rate near 0.0095% indicates that bullish leveraged positioning remains active despite weak underlying prices and persistent ETF redemptions.
A breakdown below $2,200-$2,235 could therefore trigger further leveraged position reductions. Conversely, a recovery above $2,300 supported by increasing spot turnover and improving fund flows would provide stronger confirmation of underlying accumulation.
BitMine’s continued purchases provide a structural source of corporate demand, but the company’s holdings should not be treated as a guaranteed technical price floor or a substitute for broader institutional participation.
ETH Forecast
The near-term base case is consolidation between approximately $2,200 and $2,350. Corporate treasury accumulation and expanding institutional Ethereum infrastructure provide structural support, while persistent ETF withdrawals and substantial derivatives exposure constrain confidence in an immediate sustained breakout.
The upside scenario requires Ethereum to reclaim $2,275-$2,300 and subsequently establish sustained trading above $2,350-$2,400. Stronger spot demand and renewed regulated fund inflows would reopen approximately $2,425-$2,500 if broader cryptocurrency confidence improves.
The downside scenario begins with a decisive loss of $2,200-$2,235. Such a move would expose approximately $2,100-$2,150, followed by $2,000 if additional exchange disruption or macroeconomic selling generates another contraction in liquidity.
XRP Market Analysis
XRP Narrative
XRP traded near $1.25 during the November 3 Asian session, remaining relatively stable over the latest 24-hour period despite weaker Bitcoin and Ethereum prices. The token declined approximately 3.3% over seven days and remained below the $1.30-$1.35 region that limited several recovery attempts in October.
XRP’s market capitalization stood near $79 billion, with approximately $1.39 billion of tracked 24-hour trading volume. The latest daily range remained narrow at approximately $1.24-$1.26.
The relative stability indicates that immediate selling pressure has moderated, although the market has not yet established a sustained recovery through significant resistance.
The Binance security incident remains the principal external risk for XRP liquidity. The exchange’s restoration of withdrawals allows customers to transfer assets, but the redistribution of balances across trading venues can continue affecting liquidity and execution conditions.
The Binance breach involved centralized exchange operational infrastructure rather than the XRP Ledger’s consensus protocol. The incident does not establish a compromise of native XRP balances held outside the affected exchange environment.
XRP institutional investment-product demand has remained modest compared with the scale of the underlying market. Alpha Finance reported approximately $8.4 million of net inflows across five tracked U.S. spot XRP ETFs on October 29.
The result was driven primarily by Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ and Bitwise’s XRP product. Cumulative net inflows in that dataset remained near $1.73 billion.
Separate October 30 reporting from Maketo indicated a modest daily net withdrawal of approximately $496,500. Differences in reporting coverage and reconciliation status mean that the latest category-wide fund-flow direction should be evaluated cautiously.
The completed November 2 XRP ETF figures were not available from the referenced five-fund tracker at the Asian publication cutoff, preventing a reliable same-day comparison with Bitcoin and Ethereum products.
The institutional XRP Ledger outlook nevertheless continues developing through stablecoin settlement, custody services, tokenized financial assets and regulated banking infrastructure.
Ripple recently expanded RLUSD distribution through Coinbase Prime, Coinbase Exchange and Coinbase’s retail application, with supported transfers across the XRP Ledger, Ethereum and Base.
BNY also expanded institutional custody support for XRP and RLUSD, while Ripple received final approval from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to establish Ripple National Trust Bank.
The national trust bank’s authorized activities focus on fiduciary custody and reserve-related services rather than conventional retail deposit-taking. Its regulatory approval should not be interpreted as an endorsement of XRP’s investment value.
The recent expansion of RLUSD and custody infrastructure increases institutional access to the Ripple ecosystem, but it does not automatically require proportional purchases of XRP.
RLUSD is a dollar-backed stablecoin, while XRP performs network-level functions such as transaction fees and account reserve requirements on the XRP Ledger. The direct economic effect depends on actual transaction frequency, account growth, liquidity and further adoption of applications that use the native token.
Ripple’s broader commercial development should also be evaluated separately from XRP market valuation. Corporate revenue, stablecoin circulation, custody assets and XRP Ledger transaction activity represent different metrics and should not be combined as though they produce equivalent token-holder returns.
The XRP Ledger’s fixCleanup3_4_0 amendment remains a near-term technical development. The amendment is intended to address protocol behaviors involving delegated payment permissions and certain token operations.
Recent reporting indicated a possible November 4 activation, conditional on sufficient validator support being maintained throughout the required approval period. The date remains conditional rather than a guaranteed production event.
Protocol amendments can improve network security and operational behavior, but implementation should not be interpreted as an immediate source of investment demand. Network usage and liquidity remain more relevant to short-term XRP valuation.
XRP perpetual-futures open interest stood near $3.89 billion, equivalent to approximately 4.92% of market capitalization. The aggregated eight-hour funding rate remained positive near 0.0046%.
The lower funding rate relative to previous sessions indicates that leveraged bullish positioning has moderated. This may reduce some immediate liquidation pressure, although substantial derivatives exposure remains outstanding.
Within CoinGecko’s tracked markets, derivatives turnover remained significantly larger than reported spot activity. The relationship indicates that leveraged trading continues to influence XRP price formation even during relatively quiet spot sessions.
The strongest evidence of a durable recovery would involve XRP establishing sustained trading above $1.28-$1.30 while spot turnover increases and institutional investment-product demand becomes more consistent.
XRP Technical & Liquidity Structure
XRP’s immediate support lies around $1.24-$1.25, corresponding with the lower portion of the latest daily trading range. Maintaining this region would preserve the possibility of continued consolidation.
Below $1.24, approximately $1.20-$1.22 becomes the next important support zone. The $1.20 psychological threshold remains the principal structural reference beneath current prices.
A sustained break below $1.20 would expose approximately $1.15-$1.17, followed by $1.10 if broader cryptocurrency liquidity deteriorates materially.
Immediate resistance lies around $1.26-$1.28. A sustained recovery above this area would provide the first indication that short-term buying pressure is strengthening.
Above $1.28, approximately $1.30-$1.33 becomes the next significant resistance zone. XRP would need sustained trading above $1.33-$1.35 before the broader $1.38-$1.40 region becomes technically relevant again.
XRP perpetual open interest stood near $3.89 billion, equivalent to approximately 4.92% of market capitalization. The aggregated eight-hour funding rate near 0.0046% indicates a relatively modest long premium.
The comparatively moderate funding rate suggests that leveraged bullish positioning is less aggressive than during parts of October. Nevertheless, a breakdown below $1.20 could still place outstanding long positions under pressure.
A recovery above $1.28-$1.30 supported by increasing cash-market turnover and stable derivatives exposure would provide more credible evidence of underlying accumulation than a move driven primarily by leverage.
The broader institutional infrastructure outlook remains constructive, but the immediate market depends more directly on exchange liquidity, derivatives positioning, ETF flows and macroeconomic confidence.
XRP Forecast
The near-term base case is consolidation between approximately $1.20 and $1.30. Continued institutional development of XRP Ledger settlement and custody infrastructure supports longer-term relevance, while Fear-level market sentiment and subdued spot demand limit confidence in an immediate sustained breakout.
The upside scenario requires XRP to reclaim $1.26-$1.28 and subsequently establish sustained trading above $1.30-$1.33. Stronger spot participation and continued regulated investment-product accumulation would reopen approximately $1.35-$1.40.
The downside scenario begins with a decisive loss of $1.20-$1.22. Such a move would expose approximately $1.15-$1.17, followed by $1.10 if additional exchange-related uncertainty or broader market selling produces another contraction in cryptocurrency liquidity.

Final Assessment
Cryptocurrency markets enter November 3 with Bitcoin near $76,740, Ethereum around $2,250 and XRP approximately $1.25 as investors assess continuing exchange counterparty risk, institutional ETF withdrawals and uncertainty surrounding the U.S. midterm elections.
The most significant new cryptocurrency development is the increase in Binance customer net withdrawals to approximately $4.72 billion following the exchange’s $6.3 billion security breach. The outflows represent around 3% of the platform’s reported assets.
Binance reported approximately $2.7 billion of incoming customer deposits since Sunday and stated that withdrawal activity was stabilizing. The exchange has also secured approximately $6 billion from corporate treasury, insurance and security resources to support customer reimbursement.
The financial commitment provides some relief, but restoration of customer balances is distinct from recovering the original stolen assets. Investigators continue tracing stolen funds across multiple networks, while Elliptic estimates that attackers retain control of approximately $3.28 billion.
Institutional cryptocurrency investment demand remains weak in the latest completed reporting. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $643.2 million of net withdrawals on October 30, while Ethereum products lost another $155.7 million.
The combined $798.9 million withdrawal represented substantial institutional risk reduction across major regulated investment products. Bitcoin ETFs finished the completed October 26-30 week approximately $202.4 million negative, while Ethereum products lost around $431.4 million.
The November 2 Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF tables remained incomplete at the Asian publication cutoff. The absence of individual issuer entries should not be interpreted as confirmation of zero institutional activity.
XRP ETF demand remained comparatively modest. Alpha Finance’s latest completed five-fund reporting showed $8.4 million of inflows on October 29, while a separate tracker reported a small October 30 withdrawal. Differences in coverage and reporting status limit direct comparisons.
Derivatives exposure remains substantial. Bitcoin perpetual open interest stands near $67.09 billion, Ethereum around $40.78 billion and XRP approximately $3.89 billion.
Ethereum remains particularly sensitive to leverage because perpetual open interest represents approximately 14.83% of market capitalization, compared with 4.35% for Bitcoin and 4.92% for XRP.
Funding remains positive across the three assets, indicating that leveraged long positions continue to pay premiums despite the broader decline. The combination of positive funding and prices near support warrants attention to liquidation risk.
Market sentiment remains weak. Alternative.me’s Fear & Greed Index stands at 37, classified as Fear, compared with 50 one week earlier and 67 one month earlier. CoinGecko’s separate market indicator also remains in Fear territory near 42.
Macroeconomic conditions are mixed. Oil prices declined sharply on November 2, with Brent falling toward $104.77 per barrel and WTI near $96.46 as investors considered the possibility of progress in U.S.-Iran diplomatic discussions.
The decline in oil prices reduced some immediate inflation pressure and supported government-bond markets. However, U.S. technology shares continued weakening, with the Nasdaq Composite falling approximately 1.1% and the S&P 500 declining 0.5%.
The divergence indicates that falling energy prices alone are insufficient to restore risk appetite while investors remain concerned about the financing requirements and expected returns of major artificial-intelligence infrastructure projects.
The Federal Reserve continues to maintain the federal funds target range at 3.75%-4.00%. September annual PCE inflation reached 3.6%, while third-quarter GDP expanded at a 3.4% annualized rate, keeping the outlook for further monetary tightening relevant.
The November 3 U.S. midterm election introduces additional uncertainty surrounding fiscal priorities, technology regulation and digital-asset legislation. Investors will also assess the November 6 employment report for further evidence on the Federal Reserve’s December policy outlook.
Institutional blockchain infrastructure continues expanding despite market weakness. BitMine’s November 2 update showed Ethereum treasury holdings increasing to 6,060,506 ETH, with total cryptocurrency, cash and strategic investment holdings valued at approximately $14.5 billion.
The additional corporate accumulation demonstrates long-term institutional participation but does not offset the broader weakness in regulated Ethereum ETF demand. Corporate treasury ownership and exchange-traded funds remain distinct investment channels.
Ripple’s institutional custody, stablecoin and tokenization infrastructure also continues developing through arrangements involving Coinbase, BNY and regulated financial products on the XRP Ledger. However, those developments do not automatically generate proportional spot demand for XRP.
Bitcoin’s $76,000-$76,750 region remains the clearest immediate market-wide technical support. Maintaining that area would preserve the possibility of stabilization and another recovery toward $78,000-$79,000. A sustained break above $80,000-$82,500 would provide stronger evidence of a durable improvement in market structure.
Ethereum must defend approximately $2,200-$2,250 to avoid a deeper move toward $2,100-$2,150, while XRP needs to maintain $1.20-$1.25 and reclaim $1.28-$1.33 before a more convincing recovery becomes technically credible.
The prevailing market structure remains defensive despite progress in institutional infrastructure and efforts to normalize Binance operations. Continued exchange withdrawals, incomplete fund-flow reporting, substantial derivatives exposure and weakness in technology equities constrain investor confidence. A durable cryptocurrency recovery will require verified exchange stability, stronger underlying spot-market participation, sustained institutional accumulation, controlled leverage and evidence that global financial conditions are becoming sufficiently supportive to restore broader demand for digital assets.
