Bitmine Immersion Technologies has increased its Ethereum holdings with approximately 28,086 ETH or &69.5 million. The current purchase increases the company’s total holdings of roughly 5.93 million ETH.
The company has now reached 97% of its 15-month accumulation plan or the “Alchemy of 5%” iniative. The acquisition of about 53,501 ETH pushed Bitmine’s share of the Eth supply to 5%. Based on the projection of over 122 million total supply, Bitmine is still requiring approximately 6.1 million ETH to aim its target, experiencing a downturn over 180,000 ETH.
The Treasury Strategy
Bitmine’s current disclosure underscored a wider treasury strategy, demonstrating that the company aim to accumulate ETH. The report shows a financial approach structured to reinforce its balance sheet while backing its long-term strategy of increasing its ETH holdings.
Bitmine also emphasized that its staked Ether holdings are expected to yield over $330 million in annual staking revenue. The projection is referenced on a 2.61% annualized earned from a 7-day period and shows an outlook than actual earnings realized to date.
Market Risks
Amid its aggressive accumulation move, Bitmine is still exposed to major market fluctuations. It showed the company is holding approximately $5.1 billion in unrealized losses on its Ether holdings.
The downturn underscores the risks of Bitmine’s treasury strategy, as the recent market price is below its average purchase cost of about $2,495 per ETH.
In contrast, wider crypto sentiment is still optimistic with the Fear & Greed Index at 69, denoting “Greed” as an indicator to the overall market conditions and shows Ethereum specific performance.
Bitmine Stock Weakens
The shares of Bitmine declined more than 2% at Tuesday’s market open. The market address shows the barrier experiencing Bitmine’s treasury strategy. Despite the company is known as the largest publicly traded holder of Ether, investors are still exposed to the same price fluctuations that has carried on Ethereum and lessened the value of its holdings in 2026.
Bitmine Ownership Outlook
Bitmine is currently projected to be between 172,000 and 181,000 ETH or 5% ownership target, demanding over $430 million to $450 million in additional acquisitions.
In contrast, Bitmine has not reported the latest acquisition. The company further emphasized that owning the 5% of Ethereum’s circulating supply does not mean it is proportional control over the system, its staking system, or governance processes.
As Bitmine moves to its strategy, the distinction may become essential for both investors and market observers.
Overall, Bitmine’s progress to its accumulation move will remain closely monitored by investors and may rely on market conditions, available fund, and its ability to remain consistently accumulating Ether.
