Market Overview

Cryptocurrency markets entered the November 2 Asian session in a fragile stabilization, with Bitcoin trading near $77,800, Ethereum around $2,260 and XRP approximately $1.25. The market is assessing the aftermath of Binance’s $6.3 billion security breach, the phased restoration of withdrawals and substantial institutional fund redemptions during the final U.S. trading session of October.

Bitcoin was approximately 0.3% higher over the latest 24-hour period but remained about 3% lower over seven days. Ethereum traded broadly unchanged near $2,260 and remained around 3%-4% lower over the week, while XRP held near $1.25 with a weekly decline of approximately 3.6%, according to current CoinGecko market data.

Bitcoin’s latest 24-hour range extended from approximately $77,430 to $78,130. Ethereum traded between approximately $2,236 and $2,273, while XRP moved between roughly $1.23 and $1.26. The relatively narrow ranges indicate that the immediate liquidation cycle has moderated, but none of the three assets has recovered the support levels lost during the final week of October.

Global cryptocurrency market capitalization stood near $2.68 trillion, with approximately $91 billion of 24-hour trading volume. Bitcoin dominance remained around 58.4%, while Ethereum accounted for approximately 10.3% of total cryptocurrency market capitalization.

Bitcoin’s market capitalization stood near $1.56 trillion, Ethereum’s approximately $276 billion and XRP’s around $79 billion. The concentration of market value in Bitcoin continues to indicate relatively defensive positioning within the digital-asset market.

The dominant market event remains the Binance security incident disclosed on October 30. Binance reported that unauthorized withdrawals from compromised hot-wallet infrastructure resulted in approximately $6.3 billion of stolen token assets, potentially making the incident the largest digital-asset theft on record.

Binance said its investigation initially identified a compromised laptop and subsequently found additional points of breach. The exchange stated that it had not found evidence that wallet private keys themselves had been leaked, although the investigation remains ongoing.

The FBI attributed the attack to TraderTraitor, a North Korean state-sponsored cyber unit. Investigators also observed attempts to convert portions of the stolen assets into Ethereum and expect continuing laundering activity through multiple blockchain networks.

Binance initially suspended cryptocurrency withdrawals while it contained the breach, strengthened affected infrastructure and assessed the integrity of its withdrawal systems. Deposit services and unaffected trading services continued operating.

On November 1, Binance began restoring withdrawals in phases. Bitcoin withdrawals were among the first services reopened, followed by Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain and additional networks and assets as security checks were completed.

The first restoration phase covered Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, XRP, Solana, Dogecoin and several major stablecoins. Binance warned that customers could experience longer processing times during the initial restoration period because of elevated withdrawal demand.

Binance stated that approximately 95% of the affected assets had been replenished or recovered by November 1. The exchange said BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD and ZEC balances were backed at 100% in its latest reserve snapshot.

The remaining approximately 5% consisted primarily of less-liquid assets that the exchange said would require more time to purchase through market and over-the-counter channels.

Binance also began using newly generated wallet addresses for withdrawal transactions as part of its revised security architecture. The change is intended to reduce residual risk associated with previously used operational infrastructure.

Customer withdrawals increased sharply after the platform reopened. Binance reported approximately $3.64 billion of net withdrawals by Sunday afternoon, equivalent to about 2.1% of its reported assets. The exchange said withdrawals were beginning to stabilize and that deposits remained substantial.

Third-party blockchain analytics platforms produced larger estimates of exchange outflows because of differences in how internal wallet transfers, customer deposits and newly generated company wallets were classified. The figures should therefore not be compared directly without reconciling methodology.

The distinction between exchange withdrawals and cryptocurrency selling remains important. A transfer from Binance to a private wallet or another custodian reduces exchange balances without necessarily reducing the owner’s underlying cryptocurrency exposure.

Nevertheless, large exchange outflows can affect market liquidity by changing where collateral, market-maker inventory and tradable balances are held. Temporary withdrawal restrictions can also widen spreads and reduce confidence even if customer assets are ultimately replenished.

Institutional fund flows deteriorated sharply during the final U.S. trading session of October. Final Farside Investors data showed U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recording $643.2 million of net withdrawals on October 30.

BlackRock’s IBIT recorded $233.7 million of withdrawals, Fidelity’s FBTC lost $201 million, ARK’s ARKB lost $129.5 million and Grayscale’s GBTC experienced $53.3 million of redemptions. Bitwise’s BITB contributed another $25.7 million of outflows.

The selling was broad-based across major issuers, contrasting with earlier October sessions when positive Bitcoin fund flows were heavily concentrated in BlackRock’s product.

Bitcoin ETFs had attracted $110.3 million on October 26, $176 million on October 27, $137.3 million on October 28 and $17.2 million on October 29. Friday’s $643.2 million withdrawal more than erased those four sessions of combined inflows.

Across the completed October 26-30 trading week, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $202.4 million of net outflows. Cumulative net inflows remained substantial at approximately $57.05 billion.

The cumulative figure demonstrates the scale of the established regulated investment base, while the latest weekly outflow shows that institutional investors remain willing to reduce exposure rapidly during periods of heightened operational and macroeconomic uncertainty.

Ethereum ETF demand remained considerably weaker. U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $155.7 million of net withdrawals on October 30, following $105.5 million on October 29.

BlackRock’s ETHA lost $76.6 million on October 30, while BlackRock’s ETHB staking product recorded $19.5 million of withdrawals. Grayscale’s ETHE lost $21.5 million and its Ethereum Mini Trust recorded $34.1 million of redemptions.

Ethereum ETFs recorded net withdrawals during every completed session from October 26 through October 30. Combined weekly outflows reached approximately $431.4 million.

The difference between Bitcoin’s approximately $202 million weekly outflow and Ethereum’s approximately $431 million withdrawal reinforces the comparatively weaker regulated investment demand for Ethereum.

The combined Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF withdrawal on October 30 reached approximately $798.9 million. The synchronized institutional selling coincided with the Binance security incident and a substantial decline in U.S. technology shares.

U.S. ETFs were closed during October 31 and November 1. The November 2 U.S. trading session had not begun at the Asian publication cutoff, so October 30 remains the latest completed Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF session.

XRP investment-product activity remained more stable in the latest verified five-fund dataset. Alpha Finance reported approximately $8.4 million of net inflows on October 29, including $5.6 million into Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ and $2.9 million into Bitwise’s XRP product.

Cumulative net inflows across the five tracked U.S. spot XRP ETFs stood near $1.73 billion. The latest 30-session flow remained positive at approximately $98.9 million.

The tracker had not published a completed October 30 XRP category result at the Asian publication cutoff. The October 29 inflow is therefore the latest fully verified XRP ETF session rather than evidence of what occurred during Friday’s broader market selloff.

Derivatives markets remain substantial despite the recent decline. CoinGecko’s current perpetual-futures data showed Bitcoin open interest near $66.8 billion, Ethereum approximately $40.2 billion and XRP around $3.57 billion.

Bitcoin perpetual open interest represented approximately 4.24% of market capitalization, compared with roughly 14.47% for Ethereum and 4.51% for XRP. Ethereum therefore remains considerably more exposed to leverage relative to its underlying market value.

Bitcoin perpetual open interest increased approximately 0.7% over the latest 24-hour period, Ethereum increased approximately 0.4% and XRP increased around 3.1%.

The increase in XRP open interest is particularly relevant because it occurred while the underlying token remained close to support. Rising derivatives exposure without stronger spot-market participation can increase sensitivity to subsequent liquidation events.

Aggregated eight-hour funding rates remained positive at approximately 0.0082% for Bitcoin, 0.0025% for Ethereum and 0.0092% for XRP.

Ethereum’s relatively low funding rate indicates that directional derivatives positioning has become more balanced following recent selling. Bitcoin and XRP continue to show modest premiums for leveraged long positions.

Market sentiment has deteriorated materially. Alternative.me’s Crypto Fear & Greed Index stood at 34, classified as Fear, compared with 30 in the previous reading, 54 one week earlier and 72 one month earlier.

The improvement from 30 to 34 indicates that the immediate panic has moderated, but the index remains significantly below the Neutral and Greed readings recorded before the Binance incident and the late-October equity selloff.

Macroeconomic conditions also remain restrictive. The Federal Reserve maintained its federal funds target range at 3.75%-4.00% on October 28, with two policymakers favoring an immediate quarter-percentage-point increase.

September U.S. Personal Consumption Expenditures inflation stood at 3.6% year over year, while core PCE inflation was 3.1%. Third-quarter real GDP expanded at a 3.4% annualized rate.

The combination of strong economic activity and inflation above the Federal Reserve’s objective reduces the likelihood of near-term monetary easing and leaves open the possibility of additional tightening in December.

The Bank of Japan also maintained its short-term policy rate at 1.25% on October 30 by an 8-1 vote. The central bank raised its inflation forecast and reiterated that further tightening remains possible if inflation risks continue increasing.

The European Central Bank maintained its deposit facility rate at 2.50% on October 29. The combined decisions from the Federal Reserve, ECB and Bank of Japan reinforce a global environment in which major central banks remain reluctant to relax financial conditions.

Energy prices continue to add inflation risk. OPEC+ maintained its December production targets over the weekend and deferred broader 2027 quota decisions until later in November.

Conflict-related export disruptions continue to prevent several producers from reaching existing output targets. Brent crude remained above $110 per barrel in early November trading, keeping transportation and production costs elevated.

U.S. equity markets also ended October under significant pressure. The Nasdaq Composite fell 2.86% on October 30, its largest daily percentage decline since June, while the S&P 500 lost 1.82% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 1.09%.

The semiconductor index fell approximately 7.2% as investors reassessed the scale, financing structure and expected returns of artificial-intelligence infrastructure spending. Cryptocurrency-related listed companies also declined during the broader risk-off session.

The United States enters an event-heavy week. The November 3 midterm elections introduce potential fiscal and regulatory uncertainty, while the Bureau of Labor Statistics is scheduled to release October employment data on November 6.

The November 6 employment report will provide additional evidence on whether labor-market resilience can persist under restrictive monetary conditions. A strong employment reading could reinforce expectations for another Federal Reserve rate increase, while significant weakness could increase concerns about economic growth.

Bitcoin Market Analysis

BTC Narrative

Bitcoin traded near $77,800 during the November 2 Asian session, recovering modestly from the lower portion of its weekend range after Binance began restoring withdrawals. The asset remained approximately 3% lower over seven days and continued to trade below the psychologically important $80,000 threshold.

Bitcoin’s market capitalization stood near $1.56 trillion, while its latest 24-hour range extended from approximately $77,430 to $78,130. The narrow range indicates that immediate selling pressure has moderated following the late-October decline.

The Binance incident remains the most important short-term Bitcoin-specific liquidity risk. Bitcoin withdrawals were among the first services restored when Binance began reopening withdrawal infrastructure on November 1.

Binance reported that BTC balances were backed at 100% in its latest reserve snapshot and said customer losses from the security incident would be absorbed by the exchange rather than passed to users.

The restoration reduces immediate access risk but does not eliminate uncertainty surrounding exchange security, customer behavior and the redistribution of liquidity to alternative custodians and trading venues.

Customer withdrawals can affect Bitcoin market structure even when they do not represent outright selling. Assets moved into self-custody or competing exchanges may reduce Binance’s available trading liquidity and alter the distribution of market-maker inventory.

The institutional fund picture also weakened materially. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $643.2 million of net withdrawals on October 30, their largest daily outflow of the latest week.

BlackRock, Fidelity, ARK, Grayscale and Bitwise all recorded material redemptions. The broad distribution of withdrawals suggests that Friday’s risk reduction extended across multiple institutional channels rather than being concentrated in one product.

Across October 26-30, Bitcoin ETFs lost approximately $202.4 million on a net basis despite four consecutive positive sessions before Friday.

The established cumulative ETF investment base remains substantial at approximately $57.05 billion. The latest withdrawals therefore represent a reduction in marginal demand rather than an unwinding of institutional Bitcoin exposure as a whole.

Bitcoin perpetual-futures open interest stood near $66.8 billion, equivalent to approximately 4.24% of market capitalization. Open interest increased modestly over the latest 24-hour period.

The aggregated eight-hour funding rate stood near 0.0082%, indicating a modest long premium. Positive funding during a market trading below $80,000 suggests that leveraged traders continue to position for recovery.

The combination is not extreme, but a further decline while open interest and funding remain positive could create additional liquidation risk.

Bitcoin’s immediate market challenge is therefore twofold: exchange liquidity must continue normalizing after Binance’s reopening, while institutional demand must stabilize following Friday’s large ETF withdrawal.

BTC Technical & Liquidity Structure

Bitcoin’s immediate support lies around $77,400-$77,500, corresponding with the lower boundary of the latest 24-hour trading range.

Maintaining this region would preserve the current stabilization and support another attempt toward $78,500-$79,000.

Below $77,400, approximately $76,500-$77,000 represents the next important support zone. A sustained break through this area would indicate that the weekend recovery has failed to establish a durable floor.

The broader $75,000-$76,000 area becomes the next significant downside reference. A break below $75,000 would materially weaken the October-November structure and expose approximately $72,500-$73,500.

Immediate resistance lies around $78,100-$78,500. Reclaiming this region would provide the first indication that buying demand is beginning to strengthen.

Above $78,500, approximately $79,000-$79,500 becomes the next significant resistance zone. Bitcoin would need to establish sustained trading above $80,000 before the short-term recovery becomes more credible.

The broader $81,500-$82,500 region remains the next major structural resistance. A confirmed break above that area would reopen approximately $84,000-$85,000.

Bitcoin perpetual-futures open interest remains near $66.8 billion, equivalent to approximately 4.24% of market capitalization.

The funding rate near 0.0082% indicates a modest premium for bullish leveraged positions. The reading remains manageable but becomes more important if Bitcoin breaks support while open interest continues expanding.

A healthier recovery would involve Bitcoin reclaiming $79,000-$80,000 through stronger spot-market participation while derivatives open interest expands only gradually.

Conversely, a decline below $77,400 accompanied by rising open interest and persistent positive funding would increase the risk of additional leveraged liquidations.

BTC Forecast

The near-term base case is consolidation between approximately $76,500 and $80,000. Binance’s phased withdrawal restoration provides operational relief, while Friday’s ETF redemptions and Fear-level sentiment continue to constrain confidence in a durable recovery.

The upside scenario requires Bitcoin to reclaim $78,500-$79,000 and subsequently establish sustained trading above $80,000. Stabilizing exchange flows and renewed institutional ETF accumulation would reopen approximately $81,500-$82,500, followed by $84,000-$85,000 if broader market conditions improve.

The downside scenario begins with a decisive loss of $77,400. Such a move would expose approximately $76,500-$77,000, followed by $75,000-$76,000 and potentially $72,500-$73,500 if exchange liquidity or macroeconomic conditions deteriorate further.

Ethereum Market Analysis

ETH Narrative

Ethereum traded near $2,260 during the November 2 Asian session, stabilizing after the late-October selloff but remaining roughly 3%-4% lower over seven days. The asset continued to trade below the $2,300-$2,400 region that provided support earlier in October.

Ethereum’s market capitalization stood near $276 billion, with its latest 24-hour range extending from approximately $2,236 to $2,273.

The Binance incident has an additional Ethereum dimension because investigators reported that the attackers were converting portions of the stolen assets into ETH.

Security-related asset conversion should not be interpreted as conventional investment demand. Stolen assets can move through multiple tokens, bridges and decentralized trading venues as attackers attempt to complicate tracing and recovery.

Such transactions can temporarily increase Ethereum onchain activity while simultaneously creating uncertainty about subsequent selling or asset migration.

Binance began restoring Ethereum network withdrawals on November 1, including ETH, USDT and USDC. The exchange stated that its ETH balances were backed at 100% in the latest reserve snapshot.

The restoration improves immediate access to exchange-held Ethereum but does not remove broader counterparty concerns generated by the breach.

Institutional fund demand remains Ethereum’s principal market weakness. U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded approximately $431.4 million of net withdrawals across October 26-30.

Friday’s $155.7 million withdrawal represented the fifth consecutive negative completed session. Selling affected BlackRock, Fidelity and Grayscale products.

The persistent outflows contrast with Ethereum’s longer-term institutional infrastructure development through corporate treasury holdings, staking, tokenized financial assets and public-blockchain settlement.

BitMine Immersion Technologies recently reported holdings exceeding 6.05 million ETH, with more than 5.22 million ETH committed to staking. Corporate treasury accumulation therefore remains substantial despite ETF redemptions.

The distinction is important because corporate treasury holdings and exchange-traded funds represent different investor channels with different financing structures and liquidity horizons.

Ethereum perpetual-futures open interest stood near $40.2 billion, representing approximately 14.47% of market capitalization.

The aggregated eight-hour funding rate stood near 0.0025%, substantially below the levels observed earlier in October. The lower funding rate indicates that directional bullish leverage has moderated.

Open interest increased modestly during the latest 24-hour period, indicating that traders are beginning to rebuild exposure after the recent decline.

The combination of high open interest relative to market capitalization and low positive funding creates a more balanced but still leverage-sensitive market.

Ethereum’s Glamsterdam upgrade remains under additional technical review following the postponement of its Hoodi testnet activation. The delay concerns a planned testnet upgrade and does not represent an interruption of Ethereum mainnet operations.

The immediate price outlook therefore depends more heavily on institutional fund flows, exchange liquidity and derivatives positioning than on the timing of the network upgrade.

ETH Technical & Liquidity Structure

Ethereum’s immediate support lies around $2,235-$2,250, closely matching the lower boundary of the latest daily range.

Maintaining this region would preserve the current stabilization and support another recovery attempt toward $2,275-$2,300.

Below $2,235, approximately $2,200-$2,220 represents the next important support zone. The $2,200 psychological threshold remains a significant structural reference.

A sustained break below $2,200 would expose approximately $2,100-$2,150, followed by $2,000 if market liquidity deteriorates materially.

Immediate resistance lies around $2,275-$2,300. Reclaiming $2,300 would provide the first indication that short-term demand is improving.

Above $2,300, approximately $2,350-$2,400 becomes the next significant resistance zone. Ethereum would need sustained trading above $2,400-$2,425 before approximately $2,470-$2,500 becomes technically relevant.

Ethereum perpetual open interest stood near $40.2 billion, equivalent to approximately 14.47% of market capitalization.

The relatively low funding rate near 0.0025% suggests that leveraged bullish positioning has moderated materially from earlier October conditions.

Nevertheless, the large open-interest ratio leaves Ethereum vulnerable to accelerated position reductions if support fails.

A recovery above $2,300-$2,400 supported by increasing cash-market turnover and stabilized ETF flows would provide stronger evidence that underlying demand is returning.

ETH Forecast

The near-term base case is consolidation between approximately $2,200 and $2,350. Reduced funding pressure and continued institutional blockchain development provide structural support, while persistent ETF withdrawals and exchange security concerns limit immediate upside momentum.

The upside scenario requires Ethereum to reclaim $2,275-$2,300 and subsequently establish sustained trading above $2,350-$2,400. Renewed regulated fund demand would reopen approximately $2,425-$2,500 if broader cryptocurrency confidence improves.

The downside scenario begins with a decisive loss of $2,200-$2,235. Such a move would expose approximately $2,100-$2,150, followed by $2,000 if further exchange disruption or macroeconomic selling generates another contraction in liquidity.

XRP Market Analysis

XRP Narrative

XRP traded near $1.25 during the November 2 Asian session, remaining close to the lower portion of its recent range after losing approximately 3.6% over seven days.

XRP’s market capitalization stood near $79 billion, with a 24-hour trading range of approximately $1.23-$1.26. Spot activity remained comparatively subdued as investors assessed the effects of Binance’s security incident and the broader deterioration in cryptocurrency sentiment.

Binance included XRP in the first phase of withdrawal restoration. The exchange also stated that XRP balances were backed at 100% in its latest proof-of-reserves snapshot.

The Binance breach concerns centralized exchange custody and withdrawal infrastructure rather than a failure of the XRP Ledger protocol. XRP held outside the affected exchange infrastructure was not implicated by the incident itself.

Regulated XRP investment-product demand remained positive in the latest verified session. The five tracked U.S. spot XRP ETFs recorded approximately $8.4 million of inflows on October 29.

Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ attracted approximately $5.6 million, while Bitwise’s XRP product received about $2.9 million.

Cumulative net inflows stood near $1.73 billion, while the latest 30-session period remained positive by approximately $98.9 million.

A completed October 30 five-fund result was not available in the latest tracker. The positive October 29 figure should therefore not be extrapolated automatically to Friday’s broader market selloff.

Ripple’s institutional infrastructure continues to expand despite weaker XRP prices. Recent developments include final approval for Ripple National Trust Bank, expanded BNY custody for XRP and RLUSD, Coinbase distribution of RLUSD and tokenized fund activity on the XRP Ledger.

Ripple also expanded its partnership with Water.org, using Ripple Payments, RLUSD and custody infrastructure to support cross-border financing programs.

Ripple reported that the infrastructure helped Water.org move more than $3.2 million across four Latin American markets, reduce settlement from two or three days to same-day in Mexico and Brazil and lower transaction fees by as much as 66%.

The company committed $6 million over three years to the partnership, while Water.org received an additional $1.25 million RLUSD grant to expand stablecoin-enabled financing into Indonesia, the Philippines and Uganda.

The activity provides a measurable commercial use case for Ripple’s payments and stablecoin infrastructure. However, RLUSD settlement and Ripple Payments usage do not generate proportional spot purchases of XRP.

RLUSD is a dollar-denominated stablecoin, while XRP remains the native token used for transaction fees, reserve requirements and other network-level functions on the XRP Ledger.

The direct effect on XRP therefore depends on whether expanding institutional activity produces sustained increases in account creation, transaction volume, liquidity and financial applications that require the native token.

XRP perpetual-futures open interest stood near $3.57 billion, equivalent to approximately 4.51% of market capitalization.

Open interest increased approximately 3.1% over the latest 24-hour period, while the aggregated eight-hour funding rate stood near 0.0092%.

The combination of rising open interest and positive funding indicates that leveraged traders are rebuilding bullish exposure despite XRP remaining below major resistance.

If spot demand does not strengthen alongside derivatives positioning, the market could become more vulnerable to forced position reductions during another decline.

XRP Technical & Liquidity Structure

XRP’s immediate support lies around $1.23-$1.25. Maintaining this region would preserve the latest stabilization and support another attempt toward $1.26-$1.28.

Below $1.23, approximately $1.20-$1.22 becomes the next important support zone. The $1.20 psychological threshold remains the principal structural reference beneath current prices.

A sustained break below $1.20 would expose approximately $1.15-$1.17, followed by $1.10 if broader cryptocurrency liquidity deteriorates materially.

Immediate resistance lies around $1.26-$1.28. Reclaiming this area would provide the first indication that short-term buying demand is strengthening.

Above $1.28, approximately $1.30-$1.33 becomes the next significant resistance region. XRP would need sustained trading above $1.33-$1.35 before $1.38-$1.40 becomes technically relevant again.

XRP perpetual open interest remains near $3.57 billion, equivalent to approximately 4.51% of market capitalization.

The funding rate near 0.0092% indicates a modest but meaningful long premium. Rising open interest increases sensitivity to a potential downside move if spot demand remains weak.

A recovery through $1.28-$1.30 supported by stronger cash-market activity would provide more credible evidence of underlying accumulation than an increase driven primarily by derivatives.

XRP Forecast

The near-term base case is consolidation between approximately $1.20 and $1.30. Established ETF ownership and expanding institutional XRP Ledger infrastructure provide structural support, while Fear-level sentiment and weak spot turnover limit confidence in an immediate sustained breakout.

The upside scenario requires XRP to reclaim $1.26-$1.28 and subsequently establish sustained trading above $1.30-$1.33. Stronger spot participation, continued positive institutional fund demand and stable exchange liquidity would reopen approximately $1.35-$1.40.

The downside scenario begins with a decisive break below $1.20-$1.22. Such a move would expose approximately $1.15-$1.17, followed by $1.10 if additional exchange disruptions or broader institutional selling produce another contraction in cryptocurrency liquidity.

Final Assessment

Cryptocurrency markets enter November 2 with Bitcoin near $77,800, Ethereum around $2,260 and XRP approximately $1.25 as investors evaluate the operational recovery from Binance’s $6.3 billion security breach and the substantial institutional fund withdrawals recorded during the final trading session of October.

Binance has begun restoring cryptocurrency withdrawals in phases and reported replenishing or recovering approximately 95% of the affected assets. Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP and major stablecoin balances were reported as 100% backed in the exchange’s latest reserve snapshot.

The restoration reduces immediate customer-access risk, but the scale of the incident continues to raise questions about centralized exchange security, privileged system access, operational controls and the distribution of market liquidity.

Binance reported approximately $3.64 billion of customer net withdrawals after services began reopening. The exchange said withdrawal pressure was stabilizing and deposits remained substantial.

The incident remains distinct from failures of Bitcoin, Ethereum or XRP Ledger consensus mechanisms. It involved centralized exchange infrastructure rather than a compromise of the underlying blockchain protocols.

Institutional investment demand deteriorated sharply on October 30. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $643.2 million of net withdrawals, while Ethereum products lost another $155.7 million.

The combined $798.9 million withdrawal represents substantial institutional risk reduction and followed four consecutive positive Bitcoin ETF sessions earlier in the week.

Across October 26-30, Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $202.4 million of net outflows, while Ethereum funds lost approximately $431.4 million. Ethereum therefore remained the weaker of the two major regulated investment categories.

XRP ETF demand remained comparatively more stable in the latest verified data, with approximately $8.4 million of inflows on October 29 and cumulative net inflows near $1.73 billion. A completed October 30 XRP category result was not available in the latest five-fund dataset.

Derivatives exposure remains substantial. Bitcoin perpetual open interest stands near $66.8 billion, Ethereum around $40.2 billion and XRP approximately $3.57 billion.

Ethereum remains particularly sensitive to leverage because perpetual open interest represents approximately 14.47% of market capitalization, compared with about 4.24% for Bitcoin and 4.51% for XRP.

XRP derivatives exposure increased during the latest 24-hour period while its underlying price remained close to support. The combination warrants attention because additional leverage without stronger spot demand can increase liquidation sensitivity.

Market sentiment remains weak. Alternative.me’s Fear & Greed Index stands at 34, classified as Fear, compared with 54 one week earlier and 72 one month earlier.

Macroeconomic conditions also remain restrictive. The Federal Reserve maintained its 3.75%-4.00% target range on October 28, while September PCE inflation remained at 3.6% and third-quarter GDP expanded at a 3.4% annualized rate.

The Bank of Japan held its policy rate at 1.25% on October 30 while retaining a tightening bias, and the European Central Bank maintained its deposit rate at 2.50%. Major central banks therefore remain focused on inflation rather than broad monetary easing.

Energy prices continue to reinforce that outlook. OPEC+ kept December production targets unchanged over the weekend, while conflict-related export disruptions and continued Middle Eastern shipping risks keep Brent crude above $110 per barrel.

The next major U.S. catalysts include the November 3 midterm elections, September job openings data and the November 6 employment report. These events could influence expectations for fiscal policy, cryptocurrency regulation, Treasury yields and the Federal Reserve’s December decision.

Bitcoin’s $76,500-$77,500 region remains the clearest immediate market-wide support. Maintaining this area would preserve the weekend stabilization and support another attempt toward $79,000-$80,000. A sustained recovery above $81,500-$82,500 would provide stronger evidence that institutional and spot demand are returning.

Ethereum must defend approximately $2,200-$2,250 to avoid a deeper decline toward $2,100-$2,150, while XRP needs to maintain $1.20-$1.25 and reclaim $1.28-$1.33 before a more durable recovery becomes technically credible.

The prevailing market structure remains defensive despite a modest stabilization in prices. Binance’s phased withdrawal restoration and reserve replenishment have reduced some immediate operational uncertainty, but Fear-level sentiment, substantial ETF redemptions and restrictive global financial conditions continue to weigh on confidence. A durable cryptocurrency recovery will require verified exchange stability, improving spot liquidity, controlled derivatives leverage and renewed institutional accumulation across multiple completed trading sessions.
